1. How much does a website cost?
   This is a very common question which is why it's one of the first of the frequesntly asked questions that we are addressing. To properly answer this question we would have to meet with you and get some more specifics. A lot of web developers have "website packages" that you will have to fit your website into. We do not have website packages, and the reason that we don't have them is because we are a custom web development company. We don't try to fit your website into a package that we have, instead, we fit your website into your budget. Basically when you ask us how much a website costs over the phone, it's comparable to asking a painter how much it will cost to paint your house. Sure, they can give you a square footage price, but that doesn't take the difficulty factors into consideration. What if it's a 3 story house? They will need taller than usual ladders etc. It's the same thing with web development. What kind of a website do you want? What would you like the website to accomplish? Who is your target audience (who are the potential visitors of your web site) A website that is created to just answer common questions will save you a lot of time on the phone, and it can be one of the easiest type's of website to create, but if you are unprepared, it can be one of the most difficult website's to create too. To answer some basic pricing questions, here is some basic prices, but these prices can be higher or lower depending on your individual situation:

2. I already have a website I just want to update it. I don't want to move it to a different server or anything else.
   
   
• If you would like Net Magik Pros to take over your site, it will have to be moved to Mityman Servers. There is no negotiation on this.
• We have a very long standing relationship with this hosting company. We have tried many other hosting companies out there, Mityman has proven to "give the most bang for your buck."
• The reason that we will not do work on websites that are with other hosting companies is because each hosting company has it's own set of rules.
• Even if two hosting companies are using the same two machines, there will still be differences depending on the education level of the people that are managing the server.
• This means that there will be certain things that will work as expected when creating a website, and there will be things that won't work at all because the company doesn't allow it on their servers.
• Rather than try to figure out all of the other servers rules (which can be very time consuming) we have built a relationship with Mityman, which is located in Battle Creek, just like Net Magik Pros is located in Battle Creek. It's a local call for us if there ever is a question, and questions do come up are addressed with the utmost speed.
• Even though it may seem like there is a better deal out there for a hosting company, in the long run, it will not be if you are going to use Net Magik Pros for your web design. It will actually cost more because we will be spending a lot of time trying to figure out your server. And if we have to call that server company, we can say with confidence that they will not address the question as quickly as Mityman will. Time is money, Mityman saves us a tremendous amount of time, which will save you a tremendous amount of money in the long run.

2. What is a database?
   • Do I need a database for my website?
     First you need to know what a database is, and then ask the following questions about the website that you want.
     • Will I have a series of questions that will span over several page?
• If yes then: Will the questions on the next page depend on the answers from previously answered questions?
• Will these answers need to be sent to me after all of the questions are answered?
• If you answered yes to these questions, then it's possible that you may need a database.

3. Do I have to have Net Magik Pros Web Design's name at the bottom of my website?

   • If Net Magik Pros Web Design creates a template for my web site, will it be used for someone else's website? Plain and simple, NO!

7. I don't understand all of the technical jargon, can Net Magik Pros Web Design summarize everything in plain english for me? DEFINITELY! We understand that you are not the web designer. As the owner of Net Magik Pros, I can tell you that I know nothing about car repair. I go to a car repairman for that. And, I won't understand all of the things that he tells me either. We understand that there is nothing more frustrating than someone using $50 words to talk to you and you still don't understand. We wouldn't want it done to us, and we don't do it to other people.
