Free Server Space

Free server space is a nice way of reducing the cost, but in the long run, you get what you pay for.

Many Internet Service Providers provide free web space when you get internet access from them. These can be bad because:

• Usually, you can't use a top level domain name, so your web site adderss ends up being something like http://www.aol.com/YourName/index.html and you don't look professional.
• Most internet service providers only provide 1-2 MB of space. Usually this is not enough for a complete website.
• You almost always have limited bandwidth

Bandwidth is the information that is exchanged between the computer of the visitor on your web site and the server where your web site is stored. Once your web site hits the limit, then you have to buy more to keep your web site open.
